I Learn Romanian has won Best Online Romanian Language Platform 2026 at the Corporate Vision Education and Training Awards, marking our second consecutive award after being named Best Romanian Language Training Specialists in 2025.
Two years. Two Corporate Vision awards. And one mission that has stayed the same from the beginning: helping people around the world learn Romanian with confidence.
I have some wonderful news to share: I Learn Romanian has been named Best Online Romanian Language Platform 2026 at the Corporate Vision Education and Training Awards 2026.
This recognition is incredibly special to me, not only because of what it represents today, but because it comes exactly one year after another important milestone.
In 2025, I Learn Romanian received the title Best Romanian Language Training Specialists 2025.
And now, in 2026:

Two consecutive years. Two different awards. And, in many ways, they tell the story of how much I Learn Romanian has grown.
What started as a passion for teaching Romanian and helping individual students understand this beautiful — and sometimes wonderfully complicated — language has gradually become something much bigger: a growing online learning platform with lessons, podcasts, videos, listening materials, transcripts, workbooks and resources for Romanian learners around the world.
Receiving this award gives me a reason to celebrate, but also a chance to look back at why I Learn Romanian exists in the first place.
From Best Romanian Language Training Specialists to Best Online Romanian Language Platform
When I received our first Corporate Vision award in 2025, Best Romanian Language Training Specialists, it felt like an incredible recognition of the work happening every day behind the scenes.
The lessons. The preparation. The conversations. The personalized materials. The hundreds of questions students ask — sometimes questions that make me look at my own language in a completely new way.
That award recognized the teaching at the heart of I Learn Romanian.
The 2026 award feels like the next chapter.
Being named Best Online Romanian Language Platform 2026 reflects what I Learn Romanian has slowly grown into: not just a place to book a Romanian lesson, but a place where learners can come back to the language again and again.
They can learn with a teacher.
They can listen to a podcast.
They can watch a video.
They can read a transcript.
They can work through exercises.
They can discover new vocabulary.
They can simply put on Romanian audio and allow the language to become a familiar sound in their everyday lives.
That evolution didn’t happen because I decided one day that I wanted to build a “platform.”
It happened because my students needed one.
Why I Learn Romanian Became More Than Romanian Lessons
Anyone who has seriously tried to learn Romanian knows that finding a lesson isn’t necessarily the hardest part.
The real challenge is everything that happens between the lessons.
Imagine taking one Romanian class every week.
For one hour, you are surrounded by the language. You speak, listen, ask questions and learn something new.
Then the lesson ends.
If you live outside Romania, you might barely hear Romanian again until the following week.
That is a very difficult way to build fluency.
Over the years, I kept seeing the same need: students wanted more Romanian.
More opportunities to listen.
More vocabulary in context.
More realistic conversations.
More explanations.
More material for different levels.
More interesting things to watch and listen to.
And especially more resources for students who had already moved beyond the very first stages of learning.
That need shaped I Learn Romanian.
I began creating more and more material that students could use outside their lessons, until gradually those individual resources became part of something much larger.
Learning Romanian Shouldn’t Mean Memorizing Endless Lists
Romanian grammar matters. Vocabulary matters too.
But knowing the rule isn’t always the same thing as being able to use the language.
You can memorize hundreds of Romanian words and still freeze when someone asks you a simple question.
You can understand a grammar exercise perfectly and then hear a Romanian speaker talking naturally and wonder whether you have ever studied Romanian at all.
Most language learners know that feeling.
It is completely different to know Romanian and to feel comfortable actually using Romanian.
That is why my approach has always placed so much emphasis on exposure, conversation and context.
Students need to hear how Romanian sounds when it isn’t divided neatly into textbook sentences.
They need to encounter words more than once.
They need to make mistakes.
They need to ask, “But would a Romanian person actually say this?”
They need to hear an expression several times until, one day, they use it naturally without translating it first.
Those small moments are where a language starts becoming your own.
Romanian Learning That Continues After the Lesson Ends
Today, I Learn Romanian combines personalized online Romanian lessons with an expanding collection of resources students can use independently.
My educational videos give learners another way to explore vocabulary, grammar, conversation and listening.
My longer listening materials help students spend more time surrounded by spoken Romanian.
My workbooks and exercises turn passive learning into active practice.
My transcripts allow learners to connect what they hear with what they see on the page.
And the I Learn Romanian Podcast gives students the opportunity to learn Romanian through subjects that are actually interesting to talk about.
All of these resources have one thing in common: they were created to help Romanian become a more regular part of a learner’s life.
Because one of the most effective things you can do when learning a language is also one of the simplest:
spend more time with it.
The I Learn Romanian Podcast: Because Learners Are Curious People Too
One idea has always been especially important to me.
Language-learning content doesn’t have to be boring.
Of course, students need to know how to introduce themselves, order food, ask for directions and talk about their daily routine.
But Romanian learners are not walking textbooks.
They are curious adults with interests, opinions and stories.
They want to talk about history, science, culture, nature, travel, people, unusual places and the world around them.
That philosophy became an important part of the I Learn Romanian Podcast.
Instead of only teaching Romanian as a subject, the podcast allows learners to use Romanian to discover something else.
And that distinction matters.
At some point, you want to stop feeling like someone who is constantly studying Romanian.
You want to watch something because you’re interested in it.
Listen because you want to know what happens next.
Read something because the subject caught your attention.
Have a conversation and realize halfway through that you haven’t been translating every sentence in your head.
That is when the language begins to feel real.
Romanian for Beginners — Without Making Everything Feel Overwhelming
I also know how intimidating Romanian can look at the beginning.
There are unfamiliar sounds, new vocabulary, grammatical genders, cases, verb conjugations and plenty of moments when a beginner might reasonably wonder:
Why does Romanian need to have so many versions of the same word?
The answer is a lesson for another day.
But the important thing is that you don’t need to understand the entire Romanian language before you start using it.
For beginners, I focus on building Romanian gradually through useful vocabulary, everyday expressions, pronunciation, basic grammar, listening and conversation.
The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is progress.
Understanding one more sentence than you understood last week matters.
Answering a question without translating it first matters.
Recognizing an expression in a conversation matters.
Those little victories eventually become fluency.
And What Happens After the Beginner Stage?
This question has influenced a great deal of what I create.
There are many resources designed to teach someone their first Romanian words.
But what happens when you already know them?
Intermediate learners often find themselves in a frustrating position.
They can understand Romanian — but not always.
They can speak Romanian — but sometimes the words disappear exactly when they need them.
They know grammar — but native speakers still sound impossibly fast.
They can read something comfortably and then struggle to understand the same idea when they hear it spoken aloud.
This is exactly the stage where learners need more exposure to real Romanian, not less.
And advanced students face another problem: finding material that is challenging enough to keep helping them improve.
That is why I Learn Romanian creates content for beginner, intermediate and advanced Romanian learners.
There should always be something else to learn.
Creating Romanian Immersion Wherever You Are
People often say that the best way to learn a language is to immerse yourself in it.
That’s excellent advice if you happen to be surrounded by Romanian speakers.
But many of my students aren’t.
They may be learning Romanian from another country, with very few opportunities to hear it naturally during an ordinary day.
So I encourage them to create their own immersion.
Listen to Romanian while driving.
Put on a podcast while making dinner.
Watch a video.
Read along with a transcript.
Keep Romanian music playing.
Review a few expressions.
Talk to your teacher.
Repeat the part of an audio you couldn’t understand.
Then repeat it again.
And enjoy the moment when you come back to it a few weeks later and suddenly wonder why it ever seemed so difficult.
Immersion doesn’t necessarily mean moving to Romania.
Sometimes it simply means making a little room for Romanian in your everyday life.
Built Through Real Lessons With Real Students
Perhaps the most important thing about I Learn Romanian is that it has never been created in isolation from the people actually learning the language.
My students have shaped it.
A student asks a question I have heard ten times before, and I realize that something needs a better explanation.
Someone tells me they need more listening practice.
Another student wants something harder.
A beginner needs an exercise on a specific situation.
Someone understands a topic during a lesson but wants material to practice it independently.
Those moments become ideas.
Ideas become lessons, videos, exercises, podcast episodes, transcripts or workbooks.
And then those resources help the next student.
In many ways, I Learn Romanian has grown through one continuous conversation between the teacher and learner.
That is something I never want to lose.
What This 2026 Award Means to Me
Being named Best Online Romanian Language Platform 2026 is something I are deeply proud of.
But I don’t see it as a finish line.
If anything, it makes me even more excited about what comes next.
There are still so many things I want to create.
More resources for complete beginners.
More listening practice.
More podcast episodes.
More workbooks.
More interesting topics.
More support for intermediate students who feel stuck.
More challenging content for advanced learners.
More opportunities for people around the world to hear, understand and speak Romanian.
And more moments when a student suddenly says:
“Wait… I understood that!”
Those moments will always mean more to me than any award.
